It’s nearly the end of 2009. Soon we will be writing 2010 at the end of all the documents we sign. For some reason, this is a big deal to a lot of people, so much so that we get a day off work for it (well, some people do).
So I’ll play along and do the thing that’s often done at this time of the year — I’ll list my top moments of 2009!
5. Moving to Sai Kung — Although it’s a small apartment and some things don’t really work well and there’s a bit too many people around on the weekends, it is nice to be able to walk to the grocery store. Also, it’s about a two-minute walk to the harbour, which is great.

4. Fun days out — I got to have a lot of fun days out and about exploring Hong Kong, which is pretty cool. From visiting Cheung Chau, to hiking in Clear Water Bay, to lovely buffet meals, it’s always nice to get out of the apartment and do something different.
3. Watching LOST! — Yes, it’s been a great year for LOST fans. Many questions were answered in Season 5, and now we eagerly await the final chapter in Season 6. Now, while I wait, I’m also enjoying watching old episodes again with Steph as she watches LOST for the first time!
2. Becoming a writer — Finally, things are beginning to go my way at work and I’m slowly but surely writing a book in my own time. Hopefully, 2010 will be the year it sees completion!
1. Visiting my family — I got to go back to the U.S. to visit my family for Thanksgiving. It was great to see them all again after three long years!
I remain respectfully yours,
Stephen
